I love Panama City. It has the most beautiful water around. You would have a harder time finding a place as beautiful. It is towards the top of Florida. As for hotels I stayed in a Condo so I can’t help you there. Have fun in Florida.

A couple of wonderful, (so my family thinks) places to stay in Florida is Key West and Hollywood.
For good Hotels, well this is not a hotel it is more a "True Floridian Motel", it is called By The Blue. We loved it when we stayed there, it is 1/2 block from the beach and boardwalk it was wonderful.
In Key West, you can not go wrong with a bed and breakfast somewhere or a Hotel on Mallory Square.
We love Florida as a vacation spot, hope you have fun also.

Our family likes Panama City Beach. The white beaches are beautiful. July is a pretty busy time. If you like a party atmosphere, try the east side near Thomas Drive. If you want some peace and quiet look for something on the west end.
Sea World is not in that area, but Gulf World is. http://www.panama-city-beach-vacations.com/gulf-world.html is a little about Gulf World. My daughter & I did the swim with dolphins program there and had a great time.
The rest of the same site has a lot of info about things to do and see in Panama City Beach, as well as transportation and dining information.
Have a fun trip.

I am going to list a few different cities below. You should do a google search and see if what you find interests you. There are some neat cities in florida. A few of them are pretty close to Orlando so you could still go to some parks.
1. Cassadaga, Florida
2. The Wizard of Central Florida: Sanford, Florida
Harry Potter has captured the minds of millions across the world but one of the world’s last true wizards is still alive in Central Florida. Harry Wise is a real magician who can pull a city-block-long string from an empty box or change a live rabbit into a dog. Wise also is widely known as America’s last ghostmaster, a live horror performer with shows “so scary, you’ll have nightmares for weeks.” Harry Wise began practicing magic at 18 and has traveled the U.S. and Canada performing shows of magic and illusion. Wise is still living in Sanford and visitors can see his permanent exhibit in the City of Sanford Museum. To see the wizard’s home, stroll down Sixth Street in Sanford and discover the domain of Wise the Wizard.
3. Christmas, Florida
Ah, the irony of a snowless city in Florida named Christmas. Located on State Road 50 between Cocoa and Orlando, Christmas is full of residents who take pride in their city’s namesake. Throughout the year, the city is decorated for the holiday with a permanent Nativity scene and Christmas tree. Driving through the city, visitors will encounter street names like Candy Cane, Rudolph, Blitzen, Donner, Dasher and Frosty, to name a few. The small city remains fairly low-key during the year until Christmas comes along. During the holiday, the city’s post office becomes a haven for Santa letters from around the world and people who want their holiday presents to boast the official city of Christmas seal. If you’re feeling the Christmas blues, remember that the holiday is only a drive away.
4. Spook Hill: Lake Wales, Florida
There is still no explanation for the mysterious gravity-defying hill in Lake Wells. Local residents and many-a-visitor claim that you can park your car on the bottom of Spook Hill and the car will roll uphill, defying all logical explanations of gravity. The phenomenon has become so popular that the town has posted signs all over the city directing out-of-towners to the eerie location. There are many local legends about the hill; it was once a Native American religious site, a magnetic rock lies under the cement, or a local alligator is haunting the site. To know the real answer, you’ll have to go to Spook Hill yourself and decide if the spot is local legend or scientific fact. Whatever you decide to do, make sure to keep your foot close to the brake! http://historiclakewales.com/
5. Garden of Eden: Bristol, Florida
If you think Adam and Eve called the Middle East home, you may want to guess again. According to early Baptist preacher Elvy E. Callaway, the original Garden of Eden is right here in sunny Florida. After 50 years of studying the area, Callaway believed that the real Garden of Eden was in Bristol, where the Apalachicola River branches off into four different rivers, similar to the location of the utopian garden in the Bible. Also unique to the area is a range of botanical species that do not grow anywhere else in Florida. Based upon Callaway’s beliefs, his followers built an entrance into the garden in the early 1950s. Since the time of the preacher’s death, the theory of the Garden of Eden has somewhat died along with him, but visitors can still find the garden in Bristol. It may surprise you to find that this location’s scenery is unlike any other you’ll discover in Florida.

I loved your article and the suggestions provided. There are a ton of ideas out there that are both reliable and bad. If you know of any more ideas concerning gardening or simliar topics, that would be great. Keep up the excellent writing!
