what are the best places to spend a great march vacation in Florida?
With the exception of Key West, Palm Beach, Orlando and Miami Beach thank you.
Looking for a nice hot weather, with warm water and 5 star hotels.

If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing, try Naples, Fort Meyers Beach, or Sanibel Island in SW Florida.

Hot weather in March? You need to go as far south as Miami for that. I don’t think it’s hot in Miami in March. You should look to the Carribbean or Mexico or South America for hot weather in March.

My parents live in Naples & it is absolutely beautiful! Many upscale restaurants, shops, & hotels. There is a Ritz-Carlton right on Vanderbilt Beach (see http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/Naples/Default.htm). Very nice dining & shopping on 5th Ave. in downtown Naples. Pazzo’s has wonderful Italian food & Tommy Bahama’s is always delicious! The Turtle Club on Vanderbilt beach is very nice for dinner….sit outside on the beach & watch the sunset while eating.

Sanabel and Captiva, on the southwest coast probably do more to "keep out the riff raff" than any other ocean communities. There is a high fee for crossing the access bridge to the islands, and virtually no parking places or beach access for non-residents. I get around this by paddling my kayak over from the mainland and renting a bike. (I’m riff raff maybe?) Cabbage Key, a little further north is more isolated but they sure do pamper you.
