Where is a good family vacation spot in Florida?

I want to take my family to Florida for Christmas next year. I’m trying to get a head start on planning but don’t know which beaches are the nicest/warmest for that time of year. Any ideas of hotels/resorts also??? I am more interested in areas with family activities than bars/clubs. I’ve been searching the web but there are so many choices, I’m interested in ideas from either people who live there or have been there themselves.

Florida vacation in November?

My husband and I want to take a vacation in early November for about 4-5 nights. I would like someplace warm enough for the beach, has great restaurants, nice shopping, and a few museums. I want nice clean beaches and an inexpensive hotel that is near the local attractions. I have never been to Florida and welcome any and all suggestions. I would like to keep the cost low, but we need a vacation!

suggestions for Florida's east coast beaches – family vacation?

We’re planning our family vacation for March 2011, and want to go to an east coast Florida beach. What are the nicest, most relaxing ones?

We’re a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, and are looking for a relaxing, easy-going vacation along the Florida coast with beautiful, blue water and beaches with medium crowds. Did Disney last year, had a blast, but just want to relax this year and enjoy the cool ocean breezes. Prefer to do a beach on the Gulf coast part of the state, but it seems like the oil spill may have reached there already.

Any suggestions?

Where is the best place to vacation in Florida?

My husband and I are going to Florida in 4 weeks but we don’t even know what city we’re going to yet! We want white sands, see through blue water, beautiful scenery (waterfalls, cliffs etc so I can model for pictures), swimming with the dolphins, beautiful beaches, nice people, maybe a beautiful B&B or Beautiful hotel…West Coast preferably…Any ideas?

Florida Vacation?

My husband and I will be taking our two boys (ages 16 and 10) to Florida for vacation the week of March 17th. We are planning Disney World but would like to hang at the beach for a couple of days also. Where would be a nice beach that we could go to? Warm water, nice sand? Also, my older son would like to try boogie boarding, could we rent a boogie board? If so, need to know what beaches would rent those. Thanks!

My husband is active duty military. How do we go about finding military discounts for a Florida vacation? Also, any other tips would be appreciated from those that have been there. We have never gone on a vacation before. When is the best time to visit so that places wont be crowded? Where are the nicest beaches and what are the best attractions? How soon in advance do we need to book a hotel room? Thanks so much for any help.
