My husband and I are going to Florida in 4 weeks but we don’t even know what city we’re going to yet! We want white sands, see through blue water, beautiful scenery (waterfalls, cliffs etc so I can model for pictures), swimming with the dolphins, beautiful beaches, nice people, maybe a beautiful B&B or Beautiful hotel…West Coast preferably…Any ideas?
My husband and I will be taking our two boys (ages 16 and 10) to Florida for vacation the week of March 17th. We are planning Disney World but would like to hang at the beach for a couple of days also. Where would be a nice beach that we could go to? Warm water, nice sand? Also, my older son would like to try boogie boarding, could we rent a boogie board? If so, need to know what beaches would rent those. Thanks!
My husband is active duty military. How do we go about finding military discounts for a Florida vacation? Also, any other tips would be appreciated from those that have been there. We have never gone on a vacation before. When is the best time to visit so that places wont be crowded? Where are the nicest beaches and what are the best attractions? How soon in advance do we need to book a hotel room? Thanks so much for any help.

I’m planning on going to one of the Florida Keys in early October for a vacation. Which one would be best? My boyfriend and I are in our early 30’s. Looking for great beaches, restaurants, nightlife and beautiful scenery. We like fishing, bike riding, snorkel and being active. I know not to go near Key West at Fantasy Fest. Other than that, what island would be best?

My wife and I are planning a 3 day, 2 night trip in June in Florida. We have narrowed our options down to Siesta Key, Anna Maria Island, or Bradenton Beach areas. Has anyone stayed in or visited any of these areas? We want something with as much of a tropical feel as possible, with very nice beaches. The accommodations are not a priority, as we plan to spend most of our day at the beach and sight seeing. Just a simple, clean place to stay, with an interesting and relaxing beach and surroundings to enjoy. Any input is appreciated.

The northern part of the state is part of the cultural region of The South, where you will find traditional southern cooking, entertainment, dialect, and lifestyles, much as you would expect to find just north in Georgia and the Carolinas. Generally, the more south you go in the state, the more ‘northern’ it seems, and you should not expect to experience ’southern’ culture everywhere. (For instance, sweet tea- a drink synonymous with “The South” is rarely offered in Florida restaurants south of Ocala. The southernmost Florida Keys offer yet another flavor, full of the slow paced and casual atmosphere of true beach life. All in all, Florida is its own region of the United States in its own right.
