As usual, Amazing video Mr. Theiss. Hurricane Wilma messed my home up as well. 2004 and 2005 sure were bad years for Florida.

Nathan,
I am going crazy putting these videos up. So far over the past 3 days I have uploaded 4 videos and each one after a day i took it down and re-edited it and put it back up. I wish i could do that with my older videos but don’t want to lose the ratings and stats. I am still getting used to the new guidelines for the video and am a really picky person and want the videos to look as good as possible. Its funny I JUST took the lightning video down and fixed it so there were no lines.

I can understand that Mike. I take down my videos all of the time cause I am never satisfied with them, or I just have them up for so long, and keep the good stuff up at most times.
I am loving the HD quality of your new videos!

Mike, I’m not a meteorologist or a storm chaser, so why is the rain extremely heavy, yet the radar says it was light to moderate?
April 27th, 2010 at 7:09 pm
@mainchow10
This is actually not rain but sand you see blowing in the high wind shots taken on Miami Beach. The clip towards the end of the video was in Homestead and that was from rain.

@UltimateChase OK, I see your point.

My partner and I are seriously considering on moving to the Miami area for retirement. Hurricanes/Tornados are the biggest concerns of ours. I just can’t imagine (I guess if we do move, I better start imagining real quick) how terrifying this is and the concerns for your life and your home, the flooding because of the flat terrain.
