i use to live there but i moved but i just went to visit my aunt, she teaches at oscela magnet or something like that but i went to beachland elementary. its so quite and full of retired people.
LOL. Vero is more crowded than when I moved here 10 years ago, but coming from Ft Lauderdale, it was like small town paradise.
Materialism abounds, yes – I used to laugh at neighbors who owned a Hummer in Vero – like what does someone need a Hummer for in Florida? Are we at war? It’s just “look what I can afford” LOL
We just moved to Sebastian & I love it here even more – also much less pretentious here and it’s a friendly place too.
I moved north, really north. To Ohio. I’m a Florida Native and have mixed emotions about being in FL. Yes, it is nice, but I don’t miss the fire ants, heat and humidity. I was missed by hurricane Andrew by 75 miles. What a close shave. I’ll take snow over that.
It is amazing that we have so many talented musicians here. There are 5 or 6 clubs that regularly have live music – one head banger club complete with mosh pit – so I guess Vero is keeping up with the times.
We lived in Vero Beach from 1976 – 1987, when I worked for WGYL Radio. We LOVED it..and, still have lots and lots of very good friends there. Judging by the slide show…there’s a tremendous amount of new things there. We were there several years ago, and couldn’t believe how much the town had grown and changed. Our son went to Citrus School, and we were parishoners at St. Helen’s. We’ve got great memories of our time in Vero.
It is growing pretty quickly. I just hope it doesn’t become another Ft. Lauderdale! Tourists are here already & lots of traffic – believe it or not. LOL
I was born in Vero Beach and never have seen the place. I left when I was 1 year old. We moved to Tenn and then back to Florida to Gainesville,Florida. Go Gators…lol. I will be back there someday to maybe hopefully find a soulmate…

Great video! I lived all my life in Vero until 3 years ago. I come back at least each year. It will always be a part of me.

Great Food! I used to have an art studio a block or so east of the restaurant & had lunch there often. I now live in Sebastian, and go to that one.
